Instructions for Presenters

Oral presentations (Medium Hall)

Please use your own laptop (VGA and HDMI video outputs).
All presentation must be checked in advance during coffee breaks and lunches before beginning of the sessions. Please ask to the conference staff.

Please reserve enough time for questions according to the following time schedule.
  • Keynote lectures: 30~35 min lecture + 5~10 min questions
  • Invited lectures: 20~25 min lecture + 5~10 min questions
  • Oral contributions:15 min lecture + 5 min questions
  • Short oral contributions: 12 min lecture + 3 min questions.

Poster presentations (Civic Gallery)

Poster presentations are divided into two sessions. However, all posters can be put up on the poster board in the afternoon of 17th September (Sunday) during the registration or in the morning of 18th September (Monday) before starting oral presentation or during coffee breaks. Poster size should be no larger than 1,400 mm (W) x 2,000 mm (H).

  • Odd numbers: 17:30~18:50, 18th September (Monday)
  • Even numbers: 17:30~18:50, 20th September (Wednesday)

Welcome Reception

Date: September 17, 2023 (Sunday)
Venue: RIVERS GARDEN, 1st Floor of Hiroshima Bunka Koryu Kaikan (next to the conference venue)

※Attraction: The tea ceremony will be performed as the CD 2023 warm welcome.
The tea ceremony performance together with an explanation of the Tea Ceremony in English will be done.
This is known as one of the most representative aspects of Japanese culture.
Matcha tea will be served to CD 2023 participants with sweets.

Excursion (Miyajima Island Tour)
Date: September 19, 2023 (Tuesday)
Gathering Place: Entrance of Aster Plaza
Fee: Free


One of the world heritage sites was designated by UNESCO and is positioned as one of the 3 most beautiful sites in Japan. The red vermilion collar grand gate is very famous as the symbol of Japan. We see this gate at a lot of photos and sightseeing magazines.
You can enjoy the Momiji Manju cake one of Hiroshima specialties in your free time.

Located on the opposite shore of Miyajima, it offers an excellent location with a view of the Seto Inland Sea and Itsukushima Shrine in front of the hotel.

The World Heritage Night Cruising with Boats

Date: After the banquet
Depart from the hotel pier-Stop near the Grand Gate on the sea-Visit from the sea- Return to the Hotel Pier. It will be a 30 min. tour.
When the sun sets, large and small lanterns are lit up, and the grand gate, Itsukushima Shrine, the five-stories pagoda, and the Tahoto pagoda are lit up. Enjoy the magical night of Itsukushima.
